I didn't grow up listening to American radio shows, but i certainly know many of the stars. There was a digital radio channel called "oneword" that used to play OTR on a regular basis. Unfortunately it no longer exists. I've always enjoyed listening to radio, finding new stations some from European countries.
Now with the internet it's great to listen to the old shows and some new audio drama like Sonic society where they play modern drama from various audio theatre.

My uncle was pure Italian. His Mom and Dad came to the U.S. before he was born. He could speak excellent Italian. His Dad made wine in the cellar. I just buried him at age 100 (on Christmas Eve). He was a real card.
Sorry about the loss, Nancy.

What's life like over there?
Can be fun, can be relatively quiet. However, with the election past us, things were getting PRETTY INTERESTING around here...

Mac--I found uncle's birth certificate a few days ago. His parents were born in Torino, Italy. I can't recall the year they immigrated.

Torino - so they didn't live that far away from where I live... nice By the way, in Torino there's one of the largest Egyptian museums in the world, pretty impressive. I went when I was about 20, but the huge number of visitors took all the atmosphere away for me

Ah, I am so looking forward to this explanation of American presidential politics. I won't even try (for the sake of forum unity). I'll give you a hint, though: I'm a wild conservative Republican living in a screwed-up state..... OTR is my sanity.
