Seems to be happening again...
« on: January 06, 2009, 08:16:34 PM »
Just wanted to apologize if I occasionally don't answer to some posts in threads I'm following, but for some weird reason forums (not just this one, all of them) sometimes stop sending me notifications for a while. I'm not sure what the problem is (my email provider's anti-spam filter, perhaps?), but it happens, so my apologies for any apparent lack of reaction to posts.

I don't get any email notifications.  I just show up here like clock work.  My exciting life....  At least I get to sleep all night tonight.   Baby parrot season is starting and I've been on a 3 hour schedule for feeding the last 7 days.

Not sure the photos will attach but I think I pushed enough buttons.  One day old chick and about 7 weeks later.

wow, nancy. Thats COOL!
On my farm, we raise chickens, and they turn out like the chick you show.
BUT, when they grow up, thats a different story ENTIRELY. They lose their cuteness (and their brains!), unlike your cute birds.

Parrots are great, but they are also messy, destructive and can be demanding.  THe yellow bird is a golden conure-very endangered in the wild.  Maybe I'll start a baby bird thread....

Wow Nancy, how many birds do you have? I know they live a long time. What's the oldest bird you know of.
