I just posted an article about famous old time writer Guy de Maupassant over at Vintage Horror.  Seems to be another great writer who battled personal demons.  His life ended in an insane asylum after attempting suicide.  I believe there was an episode of The Horror a little while back that featured an adaptation of his classic tale The Horla. Smiley
