Looking for a show
« on: March 09, 2010, 12:35:30 PM »
When I first began listening to "The Horror" podcast a while back, I heard a story that I would love to find and hear again.  If I remember correctly, there was a guy traveling along a dark road, looking for a particular town.  He stops at a service station (I think) and asks someone about the town with no luck.  An old man stops and offers to take the man to the town, only to find out it was a town that existed many years ago.  All modern sites vanish, and he's stuck in the town's "time."  This may not be exactly right, so if you think you have something similar in the archives, could you direct me to it?  THANKS!!

The old-town-that-vanished sounds very familiar.

I can't remember which series produced the show, making this more frustrating.  But I am hopeful of someone knowing which one it is, since I heard it on the podcast.  Thanks in advance!

Jake,

Thanks for the link.  I though it was this one, but it was not.   :icon_scratch:  I really appreciate your help though!

I dug through the archives too, but I think the show must be farther back than the archives go.

This is an aggregator of all of Jim's podcasts. It looks like the podcasts go back a ways, and I did a word search for ghost and the horror. Both pull up a lot of hits, so...

Enjoy sifting thru it, though!

Jake is a genius!  I had a few minutes at lunch today and clicked on the link above.  After skimming over the names and listening to a few I was unsure of....EUREKA!!  I found it!  It's called "Pennsylvania Turnpike," and it was done by Dark Fantasy.

Thanks all for your help in trying to figure this one out.  THANKS especially to Jake for providing me the link!   :icon_thumleft:
