I have to say, this was my first time hearing a Luke Slaughter episode, and I loved it - I've never heard a show open with the main character sounding like he's challenging me to a fight.

It loses something without Sam Buffington's delivery, but:

Slaughter seems to be an interesting anti-hero, and the whole show seems like a bit ahead of its time.
